[ An answer doesn't come from Skye, actually. In fact, it's silent for a long time.
Then there's a knock at Fitz's door, and without waiting for a response, Skye sort of scoots in, standing awkwardly just inside the door frame. She's there for a moment searching for words. She did have a point in coming down here, she did. But mostly all she's managed at the moment is to think that maybe she might've been better trying to talk through text, even though words kind of were hard, and she thought she wasn't really saying the right thing yet.
Finally, talons clicking on the floor, Skye finally just speaks.]
Okay. So.
[She's not good at this. So she finally just rolls her eyes at her self and kind of at him as well.]
[He's worried for a moment that maybe he'd upset her somehow. Which is stupid, really stupid, but he's him and he can't help but worry about that. Logically she's probably just fallen asleep or something because it is late and they had been talking for awhile so--
The knock on his door cuts off his fretting, the kelpie having pretty much buried himself in his pile of blankets as his nerves started to get the best of him. Some of his tendrils ease the blankets out of the way so he can peer over at the door, relief flooding him as Skye enters.
He wants to say something--anything--but words are hard and he just can't do it, staring at her with an unsure look until she makes the first move to approach.
And roll her eyes.
The kelpie lets out a huff of a laugh before he's shifting and pushing the blankets around to make room for her as well, adjusting his gangly limbs so she'd have room to settle in.]
