[She smiles at him and pulls up her knees, talons clicking against each other and Skye bumps his shoulder with hers.]

Time distortions, weird loops. All of that. It makes her head hurt sometimes. She decides against saying it and continues slightly differently.]
[If he could blush properly, he would be. As it is, he just ducks his head, the tendrils on his back quivering.]

His gaze shifts back to her when she starts to ask him something, head tilting as he waits for her to ask but she doesn't. The kelpie doesn't try to pry though and just smiles softly instead.]
[She rests her head against his shoulder, she's smiling and quiet, and her feathers move again against her skull. The longer ones twitch and shift and Skye thinks to herself for a moment, remembering a moment in Rota and her conversation with Ward about memories and things that were important. She opens out her arm, and runs her finger along the contour feathers until she finds one she agrees on, and plucks it. It was loose already, the odd sensation a little like someone pulling a hair or three from her head. She spins the feather between her fingers holding it out to him. ]
I had less time to find you something, what can I say. Also I've never done the whole Valentines thing before. Like, ever.
[She's babbling, unsure if the gesture is a good one, or if it seems silly. She thinks it might be good. She hopes it is.]
[Fitz let's his head rest against hers and a soft little sigh escapes him. There's something so comforting and relaxing about being around her and Bucky. Something so safe. So right. It makes him feel more at home than he ever has before and he is grateful for every chance he gets to spend time with them like this.
His eyes are just starting to close when he feels her shifting. The kelpie frowns slightly and lifts his head to see what she's doing, blinking in surprise when the feather is offered to him.
The tendrils on his back shift and quiver happily as his expression melts and he lifts a hand to slowly take it from her.]
[Okay. So. That was...that was good then. Good. She grins, and tucks herself back in against him a little better.]
Well, I hear I've got plenty more where that came from.
[She's quiet for a moment and then she speaks again.]
You know I think that's the most romantic thing that's ever happened to me on a Valentines day? Like, ever. It’s- even with me and Miles it was like, I don’t know, a pizza place instead of Taco Bell was a big deal. It wasn't our kind of thing.
[Skye sounds a little wistful but not in a bad way. This whole situation is outside of anything she's ever really known and she's not always sure how to best go about it.]

[His tone is very obviously a teasing one as he tucks an arm around her with a small grin. If anything, he sometimes found molted fluff. Never really feathers though.
That's what made this one even more special.]
I've never really attempted the whole Valentine's thing, to be honest. Just never really had any reason to.
[Sure, he'd thought about it sometimes in regards to Jemma but he'd never acted on it. With Skye though...with Skye he had been planning on doing it for awhile. It just felt right.]
